Entrepreneurs: support the recovery from the Russia-Ukraine war

topic: Humanitarian Aid
type: Campaign, Project
by: Gerardo Bandera

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, over 12 million Ukrainians have been displaced from their homes, 7 million of which have had to relocate to different countries while the rest have retreated to safer regions in the west. Most of these people have had to start from scratch, leaving their jobs, homes and comforts for their own safety. Some have even had to learn new languages or careers to integrate into their new communities.

Meanwhile, many cities in Ukraine that a year ago stood peacefully have been demolished as a consequence of the invasion and are in need of rebuilding. The rest of the world has also felt the economic shock of the war as staple food prices have shot up from the collateral food insecurity that the war has engendered.

Ukrainians and the rest of the world need the recourse of human ingenuity and organisation to rebuild and provide humanitarian assistance to victims of the war.

This is where PHINEO comes in. PHINEO is a consulting company for nonprofits and startups that focuses on social impact projects, making sure that nonprofit organisations reach their goals. Their diverse team works with organisations to think ahead, strategise and implement tailored operation plans to achieve the maximum impact.

PHINEO is currently accepting applications from startups (non-profit or for-profit) or founders that seek to address the consequences of the war in Ukraine - from the rising refugee crisis, the rebuilding of Ukraine or tackling the concomitant food and energy crises.

If chosen, PHINEO will assign your team with an expert coach who will guide you through the program, offering training and support throughout the process. PHINEO can also help your organisation find the proper funding by providing access to investors.

PHINEO is accepting applications until 30 September for their next round of participants: up to 10 start-ups will be chosen. You can find out more about the organisation, its mission, partners and the application process on their website below.
