STOP EXECUTION OF MOTHER IN SUDAN

type:Petition, Protest
by:fairplanet

Meriam Yehya Ibrahim has been sentenced to death for ‚apostasy‘, or refusing to renounce her Christian faith. Meriam is imprisoned with her newborn baby girl and her 20-month-old son.

„The fact that a woman has been sentenced to death for her religious choice, and to flogging for being married to a man of an allegedly different religion is appalling and abhorrent. Adultery and apostasy are acts which should not be considered crimes at all. It is flagrant breach of international human rights law“, says Manar Idriss, Amnesty International’s Sudan researcher.

Meriam has also been sentenced to 100 lashes for being married to a Christian man. She is a prisoner of conscience. Sign the petition and demand her release!

Simran Sodhi must stay in Germany!
type:Petition
by:fairplanet

The German Immigration Authorities (Ausländerbehörde) have ordered our colleague, Simran Sodhi, must leave Germany by the end of May.

Simran is an Indian citizen who works as an Integration-Guide in the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpenick. The Authorities state that Simran is overqualified for the job of an Integration Guide due her MA, and earns too little money. Therefore, they rule that it there is no "public interest" in Simran staying in Germany and continuing her work.

Help Simran Sodhi to continue her professional work which contributes profoundly to German society and sign the petition!

Dialog macht Schule

“Good ideas and valuable insights originate from dialogue – from the interaction with other people, from the exchange of different perspectives and personal stories.” Therefore the Berlin based non-profit private company “Dialog macht Schule” decided to take the dialogue to the classroom where trained mentors encourage young students to discover their political identity and to change their direct environment to a better place to be. The project can be supported by donations.
