Tune into Greenpeace' musical protest against Shell!

type: Petition, Protest
by: Deniz Zehra Tavli

Since almost four weeks now the workers of Shell Headquarters in London experience an outstanding type of protest: From string orchestras to bag-pipe tunes, well-known artists like Jon Snow or latest Charlotte Church tuned into the greatest musical protest against Shell's arctic drilling plans.

With this action, Greenpeace activists call out to the humanity of Shell's employees: "Some people are moved by words and some people are moved by music. It makes people stop and think for a while. It touches their hearts as well as their mind," says Greenpeace activist Anna Jones.

The whole Arctic eco-system is at risk with Shell's drilling ships' passage. The lowest sea-ice maximum ever was recorded at the pole in March this year. At the end of this year will be the climate talks, so the message to send out must be as strong as possible.

To make sure that the music won't stop playing and even grows louder, tune into the Requiem for Arctic Ice, sign the petition against Shell's devastating plans, like and share the message!
