Kent Buse is Professor of Health Policy and Director of Programme Development at Monash University Malaysia, and Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Global Health 50/50, a leading platform advancing gender equality in global health, justice and finance.
A political economist and academic activist, his work focuses on rights, equity, gender and governance in health policy.
He previously served as Chief of Strategy, Policy and Research at UNAIDS, held faculty roles at Yale and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and was the inaugural Director of the Healthier Societies Program at The George Institute.
He currently chairs the Policy and Prevention Committee of the World Obesity Federation and holds an honorary appointment at Imperial College London.
Kent is also co-author of Making Health Policy, now in its third edition.
