Paulette Desormeaux is an award-winning reporter and journalism educator with over 15 years of experience in nonprofit and cutting-edge investigative journalism. She is currently a freelance reporter for Latin American media, a professor of investigative journalism and a consultant at the Interamerican Development Bank, training journalists on data and how to report public investment.
Desormeaux is co-founder of La Pública, an online media that uses the transparency law to cover human rights stories in Chile. Her work has been published in such outlets as BBC Mundo, NPR, Aristegui Noticias and Univision, among others.
She’s an in-demand guest-lecturer and trainer at universities and institutions across Europe and South and Central America.
