Our republishing guidelines

Our mission is to inform and to support a global audience to engage with human rights, environmental issues, and sustainable development goals.

To achieve this we produce fact-based, well researched high-quality content and support activists on the ground through constructive journalism. 

It is within this mission to empower publishers and media outlets with stories and constructive information. 

Hence, we provide our content based on a creative commons license, granting publishers the right to republish the text of any FairPlanet article that contains a republish button on your own news outlet.

What you need to know in particular

In republishing any of our articles you must adhere to the guidelines below:

• Please write to contact@fairplanet.org with your inquiry to republish the article prior to republishing.
• Our content is licensed under the Creative Commons Licence Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
• You may not republish our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
• Only content with a "republish" button is eligible for republishing. 
• You must use our embed code. If you face technical difficulties feel free to contact us. 
• By using our embed code the content will appear on your website. Do not change this code. 
• We recommend inserting a canonical meta tag with the source URL of the republished content into your website.  
• Do not translate a story into another language without our written permission.
• FairPlanet content may not be provided, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to third parties or affiliates for redistribution through those entities, unless you have received prior written approval from FairPlanet.
• We reserve the right to request that any partner ceases republication of our content, or to edit the content, including but not limited to if the guidelines listed above not being followed.
• We do not use third-party analytics to track the usage of our content on third party websites. FairPlanet only registers the domain and the date of publishing of the embedding website in its own database. We do not share any of these data.
