Ithamar Handelman-Smith is a British writer, columnist, filmmaker and playwright based in London. He has been a political and cultural commentator for Haaretz for the last thirty years. Other than Haaretz he has published his work in several international publications including The Jewish chronicle, The Irish Tatler amongst many others, both in English and Hebrew.
As a documentary filmmaker he worked with the BBC, ITV and PBS Frontline covering topics ranging from the Northern Irish conflict to the Middle East crisis. As a novelist he has published seven books including Unholy Land , a collection of essays and stories about Israel and the Palestinian Territories.
