Rivers in Nairobi County have been a major cause of concern for both health and environmental reasons. However, not all is lost: new partnerships work on a new facelift.

In recent years cleanup exercises have been carried out but the consistency of such initiatives has been hampered by corruption and the lack of continuous education on the need to maintain clean environments all around the city.
